Highlands
Sculpture Gallery - When
Highlands Sculpture Gallery moved into the Carmel area,
it was a breath of fresh air, the first of its kind in
a sea of traditional art. Thirty years later, it has become
an international destination for contemporary fine art
in Carmel. Owner/director Diana Higgins has always loved
sculpture and with her hands-on background and degree
in fine arts has crafted this gallery into a harmonious
yet exciting marriage of two and three-dimensional colors
and forms. Somehow the pieces belong together in their
environment and it is difficult to pick just one. You
are, encouraged to 'touch' the sculptures when visiting
this intimate, warm and inviting art gallery.
Fine Woodworking
of Carmel - Whether you are looking for home or
office decoration gifts, we have what you need. We carry
a wide selection of woodturnings, furniture, jewelry boxes,
woodcarvings and deskclocks. We have a large collection
of one of a kind art pieces that include marquetry, miniatures
and even a grandfather clock entirely out of wood, even
the gears. All of the pieces shown here are the creations
of American craftspeople and are on display in our gallery
in Carmel.
Carmel Art Association
- Home of the nations second oldest artist cooperative,
this historic Carmel gallery has been a showcase for the
works of some of Californias greatest artists since
1927. Continuing that proud tradition today, the Carmel
Art Associations sales gallery features paintings
and sculpture by over 120 of the areas most noted
professional artists. Many have received national recognition.
You are invited to visit Carmels oldest gallery,
again and again, to browse the changing monthly shows
that provide fine art in all media and styles, to purchase
or just enjoy.
Jim
Miller Gallery - Throughout
his successful career as a commercial artist that has
included four awards from The New York Society of Illustrators,
oil painter Jim Miller says he always knew he would "someday
be a fine artist ... I knew I wanted my own gallery and
went from there. It's been 17 years now," says Miller,
owner of the third oldest gallery in Carmel. Works by
Miller, who is listed in Who's Who in Art, have been acquired
by the White House, Wells Fargo Bank Corp., as well as
corporate and private collections throughout Europe and
