Established and operated by the Albert Gurries family, The Tickle Pink Inn at Carmel Highlands has graced this setting since 1953. With 35 rooms and suites, The Inn is intimate and private and offers the discriminating guest a variety of personalized services. Tickle Pink Inn has a history and reputation that are founded on gracious hospitality and an attention to detail that is evident from the moment you arrive. As you check-in, our concierge-style lobby presents a picturesque coastal vista. The enchantment from the natural beauty captivates your senses and sets a mood which will nurture, renew, and inspire. The site was originally the home of State Senator Edward and Mrs. Bess Tickle. A great lover of flowers, particularly pink varieties, Mrs. Tickle liked a suggestion to name their hillside stone cottage "Tickle Pink". The stone cottage has since disappeared but the name remains.
